How to Treat Common Scalp Condition LIke Scalp Acne and Bumps

Scalp conditions affect many people around the world.  They may not be seriously dangerous, but they are uncomfortable and itchy.  A few common scalp conditions are scalp acne and  scalp bumps bumps along with dandruff:

  • Dandruff
  • Psoriasis
  • Seborrheic Dermatitis
  • Folliculitis
  • Scalp Acne – Pimples – Bumps
  • Oily Scalp
  • Dry Scalp

The most common scalp condition that people suffer from is dandruff and oily scalp.  Dandruff may be mild with a small amount of flaking and an itchy scalp.  In some cases it is more troublesome.  Flakes can clump together forming mounds of flakes on the scalp.

Scalp Psoriasis is a skin condition that is common on the scalp as well as other areas of the body.  Dry scaly patches arise.  They tend to be white with a powdery look.  In addition to the scalp these patches often appear at creases in skin like behind elbows and knees.  In more extreme cases of psoriasis a persons joints may be affected.

Another common scalp condition is seborrheic dermatitis.  It typically comes with greasy yellowish colored scales.  Itching can be extremely troublesome with this condition.  Scratching can cause infection and inflamed red patches.  Infants also suffer from seborrheic dermatitis in the form of cradle cap.

There are a lot of products on the market that claim to treat scalp conditions.  The majority of them however are full of chemicals that may temporarily make a problem subside, but they dry the scalp out and make conditions worse.  A healthy scalp requires a proper balance of oil.  There are natural products that work much better to achieve scalp health.  Zinc pca works by cleaning the scalp and regulating the sebum gland that produces oil on the scalp.  Jojoba oil and emu oil are perfect for providing moisture to the scalp and hair.  Thyme and sage naturally detoxify the scalp.
